Board of Nursing New Jersey

Board of Nursing New Jersey is a state regulatory agency, located in Newark, NJ and is a part of New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. The board has been entrusted with the responsibility of granting licenses to registered nurses and practical nurses, and to regulate the nursing practice in the state of New Jersey. The Board also accredits nursing schools and approves clinical affiliation of the schools.

In addition, the Board also certifies advanced practice nurses, sexual assault, forensic nurse-certified and certified homemaker-home health aides. Composition of the NJ Nursing Board

Board of Nursing New Jersey consists of 12 Board members that represent nursing profession, state and public. Of these 12 members, 3 board members represent Public including, one board member from the state, 2 Licensed Practical Nurse, 6 Registered Professional Nurse, and 1 Advanced Practice Nurse.
