Aultman School of Nursing

Aultman School of Nursing was founded in 1892, same year when Aultman Hospital, Stark County’s first hospital, opened its doors on January 17, 1892. The school was established in the north end of the hospital at Canton, Ohio. The State of Ohio granted approval to School of Nursing on January 1, 1916 and the institution was known as the Aultman Hospital School of Nursing. The school is Private not-for-profit.

The curriculum of the school was further expanded and it become an incorporated college in 2004, changing its name to Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences. The school of nursing is known by this name currently. The Ohio Board of Regents (OBR) authorized the college to offer an Associate of Science in Nursing, its first degree program.


The Vision of Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences is to become leader for preparing health care professionals, who excel and positively impact society.

Nursing Program

Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences offer Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Program that earns a student ASN Degree. The program also prepares a student for NCLEX-RN licensure exam.

Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate from the school the students are required to meet conditions of 73 minimum Credit hours, which include 42 general education credit hours and 31 credit hours for nursing. Further students also needed to apply for the Residency course requirements and complete NCLEX review course that is provided by the program.

Admission Requirements

GED score of 2250 or greater

Or High school GPA of 3.0 or greater

Combined score of 950 or greater for SAT

Composite score of 20 or greater for ACT

The school also has Additional Requirements, which must be completed by the students applying for the admission.
